Mirror Case

1874 - The Mirror Case

A little too much detail in this shot to make a great animation, however I thought the clothing and subject make it worth posting.

Interesting story behind Fort Defiance, AZ (now AZ). These Navajo surely went through a lot to get to this point. Kit Carson was there, real American history. Check it out on the wiki page.

Servants at Prince de Joinville's quarters

1862 May - Servants at Prince's Headquarters. In the vicinity of Yorktown, Virginia.

This image was in amazing condition, large and clear. No flaws were removed or adjustments made beyond the aligning of the two sides of the stereo image. The full size from LoC is striking. I’m guessing left to right a cook, wait staff, washer, and weapon smith?   I have no idea, somebody educate me.
