Major overhaul – finally!

leave a comment »

I have updated clicksypics.com in a friendlier blog fashion, so I won’t be updating this page any longer. No more of that “click here for the big version”, no more dreamweaver – yaay! I hope you will all visit me there. I’m sure you will like the look of the new site as well as the easy navigation. All posts from this blog have been imported, and I will continue to host the files linked here. But for all new posts, check out clicksypics.com!

More macro bugs!

Bumble Bee 4
Above:  There were several bees drinking from our hummingbird feeder. They would literally tackle each other to get the best spot. I believe the legs pointed upward was a defensive gesture, warning off other bees.

Macro Dragonfly Photos

leave a comment »

I love dragonflies.  They eat mean bugs that bite, they’re pretty, and they love to pose for me.  Below are a couple of shots from today, click out the full view link below to see them close up and personal.  View more of my macro photography on my flickr page.

Did you know dragonflies spend most of their lives in the water as little nymphs?

To view full sized, click the image (to flickr), then click the magnifying glass above the photo.

Below is a Green Anole Lizard.  I think he was looking at his reflection in my lens.

Can I help you?

Below is a long-legged fly.  I had been chasing these all summer.  It’s not the best shot but I was happy to have finally photographed one.

Macro Photography

I’ve really been digging my new macro lens.  I’ve added a special category for macros and I’ll dump a whole bunch in there.  Mostly I focus on insects, at least while the summer lasts.  Click the link to navigate to the full sized version on flickr. Hope you enjoy them!
